“These Things We Do, That Others May Live”

Community Support

Annually, our Foundation makes charitable donations to various organizations. The Board members nominate organizations for consideration. These organizations share our values of service to students, community, or military.  Through these common interests, we believe we support our mission through these charitable donations in the name of the Foundation.  Since our charitable giving began we’ve donated to many local organizations that help veterans, service members, their families, and common interest groups.

Outreach and Volunteerism

We work to be active members of our community, doing so under the Combat Rescue motto “These things we do, that others may live” This means that we do not just receive, we give back. In thanks for all the community does for us, we give not only monetarily, but also of our time as a Foundation.

It’s to this end that we volunteer for community events such as Wreath Laying at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies as part of Wreaths Across America Day. The support we receive from the small businesses in our communities are essential in fulfilling our mission. During the height of the COVID–19 Pandemic, in an effort to return this kindness, we have been proud to help sustain these businesses through the purchase of catered food or gift cards, which were sent in the name of the Foundation to frontline workers who continue to keep our communities safe and strong.
