“These Things We Do, That Others May Live”

About Our Foundation

The Captain Sean M. Ruane Memorial Foundation is a 501c3 nonprofit organization dedicated to remembering the life of Air Force Captain Sean M. Ruane by not only spreading the word about his life, but by doing something that Sean dedicated his life to, which is helping others. With this in mind, we have established a scholarship program which annually honors students at Sean’s alma mater, Montour High School. We also strive to support our community in his honor.
Our Board of Directors is a diverse group of volunteers, comprised of Captain Ruane’s friends, family, and military colleagues. We also have a vast network of supporters and volunteers who support our Foundation.

Our Mission

We believe in fostering future leaders, supporting our military, and our community. In order to grow Sean’s legacy of service to community and country, we raise funds to support our efforts. Those funds are used to provide scholarships to deserving young people in our area and offer contributions to various organizations in his name. We work to be active members of our community, doing so under the Combat Rescue motto “These things we do, that others may live”
